My Tot Clock Review & Giveaway!

Luke has a little bit of an obsession with clocks. He loves clocks of all kinds. He even asked for a watch for Christmas, and will stop and look at any clock at the store. He saw an advertisement in a magazine for the My Tot Clock and asked me to rip out the page for him so he could keep and asked if Santa could bring him one (he's an early planner :)) I was so happy when My Tot Clock agreed to do send us one for review!

My Tot Clock is the first all-in-one sleep clock, alarm clock, nightlight, timeout timer, and activity timer for tiny tots who can’t yet tell time.  The magic of My Tot Clock is that it changes color to teach little ones when it is time to sleep (blue light) and when it’s okay to get out of bed (yellow light). Parents set the routine!  My Tot Clock, with its child-friendly analog clock display, also plays bedtime stories, lullabies, fun wake-up music, and even white noise to make the traditionally stressful bedtime and morning routines more enjoyable. No more negotiating before bedtime!  My Tot Clock also includes a light blue light for nap time or quiet play time, a red light for timeout, and a green light for any positive timed activity like potty training and picking up toys.  Managing important tot time has never been easier!

My Thoughts

This little clock is amazing! Luke was so excited when we opened this up. I don't think he could believe that the clock that he wanted was sitting right there in front of him. When we opened it, I couldn't try it out right away because I had to give Luke a chance to play with it, and and carry it around for the rest of the day. When it was almost time for bed I was finally able to play around with the settings and get it all set up for his daily wake up and bedtime routine.

Setting the bedtime and wake times on this was a breeze. There are buttons right on the back of the clock, along with a digital clock, to set for your child's specific times. After getting it all set up, which only took about 5 minutes, if that, when it was time for Luke to go to bed the clock turned blue and it started telling his bedtime story. You can choose between a bedtime story or a song, Luke chose the story. He went to bed with no problems, and on time. We have set a new routine, with Luke going to bed earlier, and this clock has definitely helped out with that. I love that the clock doubles as a nite light as well. You can set the brightness, or turn the light off all together. I usually have a couple nite lights on in each room at night, but with this I don't even need any other nite lights.

Luke can be a bear to get out of bed sometimes, but this has helped with that as well. When it was time for Luke to wake up, the light on the clock turned yellow and it started to play it's wake up song. Luke was so happy that he was waking up to his clock that he got right out of bed with a smile on his face. So much better than me having to spend 5 minutes waking him up in the morning. This is also awesome if you have a child that likes to wake up too early. This clock will tell them when it is ok to get up. I don't have that problem with Luke, but I can really see how this would solve those problems.

The My Tot Clock will also turn red for time out. You can set it for how many minutes your child needs to be in time out, and the clock will turn red, and then turn yellow when it's time for your child to be out of time out. Great! We haven't had to use this for time out yet, but I'm sure this will work way better than the old worn out timer that I have used, and it will give Luke visual cues.

My Tot Clock will also serve as a timer for encouragement. It will turn green to give your child encouragement. You can use this for brushing teeth or potty training, or even homework. And you set the timer for how long, after that time has elapsed, the clock will turn back to yellow. You can turn any of the different modes on manually with the push of a button as well.

The My Tot Clock can take 4 AA batteries if you would like it to be portable, and it does have a nice little handle for easy carrying. I put "cheap" batteries in ours and it was on for a whole day before it ran the batteries dead. It comes with an AC adapter as well, so the batteries aren't necessary, which is great. We just keep it right in the bedroom.

We definitely give the My Tot Clock four thumbs up! If you have bedtime battles, or wake up battles, or just would like to get your child on a sleep and wake routine, this is a great tool to use! It makes it easy and fun!
